California State Board Examination Computerized Testing
NOTICE: 30-DAY DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION
The November 1, 2007 date for implementation of computerized testing for the California State Board Examination for veterinarians has changed to December 1, 2007. The Board apologizes for any inconvenience that may occur due to this unavoidable delay.
Based on the new effective date for implementing computerized testing, candidates who applied by the September 15, 2007 deadline will be in the first group of candidates transmitted to the testing vendor, Psychological Services Incorporated (PSI).
The Board will transmit eligibility information to PSI on or about December 1, 2007. PSI then has two days to begin sending out the candidates' examination handbooks. The examination handbooks contain information that candidates must have before they can schedule an examination date to take the test, e.g., their candidate ID number, test site locations and eligibility information including eligibility expiration date.
The projected timeframe for implementation of the computerized testing program is:
Once candidates receive their examination handbook, they can go on-line or call PSI to schedule a date/time to take the examination.
Candidates who 1) applied BY the September 15, 2007 deadline AND 2) who do not receive an examination handbook by Thursday, December 13, 2007, should contact the Veterinary Medical Board at 916-263-2610.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE BOARD UNTIL ON/OR AFTER DECEMBER 13, 2007.
NOTE: Applications received AFTER the September 15, 2007 deadline are still in the review process. New applications for the CSB will be mailed out beginning November 26, 2007. The Board will determine eligibility within 60 days after receipt of a complete application.
